I texted my daughter three times in the last three days with no response, so I usually call her soon after to make sure everything is either O.K, or her phone is dead from not charging it, (which is the usual case). Yesterday I found out why she wasn't answering my texts. Her phone was broke. She can only call out and receive phone calls, and that was it,so today I took her to fix her cell. She found out that unless she chose the option to factory re-set her phone, it was going to stay broke. She whined about her pictures, but unless she used this feature, she could no longer text her friends. That was a heart-breaker, so she wiped it clean, and sure enough, I get a text from her smiling.
