Why complain if you like being busy

February 5, 2016 7:15am CST
I've observed people whining everyday. Oh God! I am so busy, I do not have time. I was stuck in work. I miss my old days. Life was so much fun always, not caring about anything and enjoy every moment. But it is we only who have chosen this busy life. If we can not help it then at least stop whining people.

I agree, people do complain a lot about this. I know a lot of people who will just complain and seem like they want to "win a contest" by bragging/complaining about how busy they are. I don't like people like this, who make everything into a competition. In truth, our lives are as complicated as we make them. If you want a more simple life, put less on your plate -- don't overwhelm yourself. I personally enjoy being busy, although I tend to over-commit to things.

I think sometimes they feel the reason they are busy is because someone demands their time and they don't have a choice. Think of it like the banker or income tax adjuster asking for your time. Can you tell them you are busy? On the other hand people that have something like a busy life (job for example) can be grateful they have one when so many people don't have.

sometimes I get so busy I feel overwhelmed and it just feels good to vent

That is genuine Marilyn. There are people who like to show off and brag about being busy, under the pretext that they hate being busy but can not help it, types. Also we vent to our family or near ones. I am sure you would not vent to everyone.

I prefer to be busy and progressing in life other than lounging around and wasting money

We all have to be busy and make progress in life. This is our choice, but then we will not brag about this to everyone we meet along, right?
