Why do animals keep adopting me

Cat

I have lost count of the number of times that I have gone on holiday for one or two weeks and ended up some local animal, usually a cat or dog, following me around. Last night I arrived back at my block around 8 PM to have a wash and get ready to go back to the main building. A kitten came along and began brushing against my legs. Naturally I stroked the cat, which seemed extremely friendly by most standards. As soon as I paid it some attention it stuck to me like glue. It followed me into the lift and even followed me into the room. Anyone watching this woud have been convinced that it was my cat, despite the fact that I had never seen it before. It eagerly kept pestering me for attention then decided to settle down on the bed. About one hour later when I was ready to leave it had no interest whatsoever in moving from it’s comfortable position on the bed. Eventually I had to pick up the cat and place it outside, although it tried hard to cling onto the pillow. I felt rather guilty about putting it outside, but could not risk leaving it the room in case it made a mess on thebed, which would be very unfair to the lady who cleans the room.

I think animals can "see" our auras or the vibes we send off. They know if we are good people or not.

I think so too, animals have their own reasoning which usually makes no sense to us.

I think that the animals know you will care for them, I do believe they know who will or will not be their friend.

Strays do visit us but what you have narrated is quite rare for a stray cat to be so attached to you.Where is the cat now?

Animals love you because they know that you are not going to hurt them. This cat seems a domestic cat, it's not wild, I think he must have a owner. Do not feel guilty, I just had to put out Willy the cat, he came inside again from the kitchen's window.

Such a friendly cat, and used to a domestic setting, must belong to somebody nearby and took a liking to you because of the attention you paid it.

cats are very smart, they know a sucker the moment they see ya and you did exactly what the furball wanted, you petted the lil dickens. Cats, especially kittens, that are not feral will do whatever they can to get people to pet them, I even had one climb up my jeans and attach itself to the belt loop .... I named him Hotshot

You are so lucky to have got cat's friendship so easily. Unlike dogs, cats do not follow anyone so easily.

I fully agree and it usually takes months of getting to know a cat before it feels safe.
