A sick joke is going around that Steve Irwin should have been wearing more sunscreen to protect against dangerous rays

I think that is a joke in real bad taste. There is a big community that respects Steve Irwin's work. He has actually turned the media into a very informative and at the same time entertaining tool. When such a sick joke is doing the rounds, it hurts everone who love Steve and his work. I am someone who was glued to his shows on TV and I learnt a lot, and got sensitised a lot, not just about animal lives, but also about life in general.

thats cruel and unusual... not a joke... especially since it just happened! yeah if it was made in like 2 or more years after it happened. But its not even close to being funny right now. Thats just heartless!
