Almost Feels Like Spring

Making my report about a daily walk. It was beautiful out there today, lots of sunshine, bare sidewalks, and just a little bit of wind. Feel good that I have walked two days in a row. It almost feels like Spring, especally seeing so much of the snow gone. Supposed to be nice for the next couple of days and then turning cold again. I hear there is another storm sweeping up along the Eastern United States and into the Maritimes, but we are not supposed to get any of it here. I was checking my journal and this time last year we were experiencing very cold weather. I am so thankful for the good winter we are having.

There was a wet snow at home, but the sun is melting it now. Thank El Niño for the good weather this year.

Let's hope it stays fairly mild. I don't mind getting more snow, but don't want any more freezing rain.

@AnneEJ I wouldn't want either. Our snow plow man charges a fortune. We told him not to shovel the sidewalk, but shovel he does.

I went for a walk this afternoon on my lunch break because the sunshine was calling my name. Then I hopped in the car and went around the corner to get a cup of coffee for my afternoon from Timmies. They have free coffee, tea and hot chocolate at work, but it doesn't have the same taste.

@AnneEJ I don't think that we have a Second Cup in the town near us. Last year my hubby got a $50 gift card for there, we gave it to our son's girlfriend, she likes to go there and they have one in London.

There is no coffee like Tim Horton's, although I have had Second Cup a couple of times lately and it is good as well, but more expensive.

It definitely seems odd to see how little snow there is. This has been a pretty mild winter. I'm really not complaining.

@AnneEJ I can't complain much either. The snow removal are pretty good here in my neck of the woods.

This year is definitely warmer for much of the North. We have been warmer as well. Still nice in Florida. It is a little on the cool side. It's in the 60's with a cold breeze.

I don't like any exercise much but I know that after walking regularly you do start to feel better.

Me too. We've only had one snow fall and it was on a Saturday - best day of the week for such things.

I am sure we will have some more storms, but at least we are well into February, so know winter is half over.
