Good morning,what a difference a day makes.
All of a sudden a big turnaround.
The grounds was nice and bare, sidewalk clear and then bang we got
hit by this fast moving storm. They told us at first a dusting to an inch.
We ended up five or more with ice this morning.
Mike is out cleaning off the cars and will join him shortly.
Did anyone else here get hit with this storm.?
We are bright and sunny with cold temperature
The photo is mine. This is our back yard.

Sit on the warm so.

@amadeo sounds like the forecasters underestimated what was coming

We got some snow and ice this past week, but I don't think it was the same system that hit you, although it does generally pass through us first before heading east. We've only had the snow plow out a couple of times this winter, and mainly that was either just after Christmas or in the beginning of January. We've manages with just a bit of shoveling otherwise. I do have to spread salt around on the sidewalks more often this year to compensate for the thawing and then re-icing of walkways.

@amadeo We did get more snow the last few days. It seems to be over with now, although it may snow a bit again next week, but then by Wed next week it's supposed to get back into the thirties and forties. If it does, we'll be able to get out and clean a few windows of business that we do every month.

No once again the Chicago area is free of snow, we have gotten a grand total of maybe 3 inches this winter and I'm not complaining.

No snow nearby. That photo looks beautiful but I assume life must be tough when it snows like this.

It's tough dealing with unpredictable weathers, too much work. Glad there's the sun though!

Wow, the picture looks wonderful.
I don't like winters or snow, winters make my bones ache but looking at this lovely image is really calming.l have always found snow especially new snow to be so calming to me but since my bones started aching, i dread winters.
Sad l just don't like it anymore

And there was me feeling concerned at having to travel in wind that was knocking a few bins over. Mind you, I think it was worse elsewhere in the UK.
