I am off to catch some shut eye before embarking on a 12 day journey into African and I invite you to travel along with me. I have included a map with our route RED dotted for your information. They are numbered and the places are as Follows: 1 - Rhatlamana - Border Post into Botswana 2 - Ghanzi and a stay over at the Kalahari Arms Hotel - quite Victorian 3 - Spitzkoppen and Tented Safari stayover at the beautiful group of bald granite peaks or bornhardts located in the Namib desert of Namibia. The granite is more than 120 million years old and the highest outcrop rises about 1,784 metres above sea level. 4 - Cape Cross where one of the largest Fur Seal colony can be found - German: Das Kreuzkap; Portuguese: Cabo da Cruz is a small headland in the South Atlantic in Skeleton Coast. 5 - Henties Bay - Fishing and Holiday village along the Atlantic coast and Walvis Bay - German Walfischbucht or Walfischbai, all meaning "Whale Bay" is a city in Namibia and the name of the bay on which it lies. A deep sea port on the Namibian coast. Beautiful wide lagoon with innumerable sea birds, pelicans and flamingos. 6 - Sossousvlei - The heart of the oldest desert in the world. 7 - Nossop in the Kgalaghadi Game reserve which lies in both South Africa and Botswana and borders Namibia as well. They have a webcam - so watch "sanparks - nossop" to see what i see. @ison1 8 - Twee Rivieren Restcamp is the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park's largest rest camp and administrative headquarters. It is situated on the banks of the Dry Nossob river. 9 - Homeward bound - 700km in one day to get from the Park through the borders and home.
