For the first time in EIGHT YEARS we will get money back. Thank goodness for that little tax deduction that came along in July. She's darn cute, but I'll take the $1000 child tax credit THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
It couldn't come at a better time, with the refund we will JUST abut be able to pay off the vet bills we accumulate from our girls illness. Let me tell you, it SUCKS paying on bills for a dog that's not here anymore so I'm excited to get the refund and wipe that slate clean

I never get anything back, as I have to pay every year, and it sucks. I do have a rental, so that is why I have to pay every year. I hate tax time, but it just can't be avoided I guess. I wish I didn't have to file, but oh well, it has to be done regradless. I just have to make the most of it.

@MakingCents Yea, me too, and yes, you are right, that it does suck. Can't do much about it though, and just have to deal with it.

At least you can get out of debt. You should adjust your tax bracket so that you have more in your paycheck so you aren't giving a free loan to Uncle Sam.

The problem is since I'm self employed I never know how much I am going to earn in a year... so I have to withhold extra from my second job or I end up paying thousands in April some year.

It is good it is coming, but sad that you cannot use it for something fun.

That's too bad that your taxes will go to the vet bill - but at least it's a bill you won't have to pay out of pocket (per say), right? Same with my taxes. I am putting the chunk of money I am getting back on my credit card - every single last cent, so I won't even have any "fun" money. Ha, oh well.

we're taking $100 of the refund and going out to dinner. The rest goes to the bills. But we have to get back on our feet somehow.
