A sensational day as my big pre-birthday weekend begins, though today it was the 9th birthday of a birthday show I have attended since its first year. The day started quietly with job searching online followed by a library visit after which I set out to see a movie before the show but the film timetable would have clashed with the show. I settled for visiting a few bars, and met unexpectedly with old friends on route. It is a busy weekend in Manchester at present with big football matches and Chinese New Year celebrations as well, so many bars were very crowded. I found a quiet bar friends had recently recommended to me, a relatively new one called Beef And Pudding, which offers very expensive meals but perfectly reasonable priced ale. From there I went to a Subway for my evening meal and on to the burlesque show. This was a competition show showcasing the talents of many new performers and the quality of the acts made audience judging very challenging. The compere also performed a sensational dance routine of her own. The show finished early enough for me to catch a tram home afterwards, and I caught up on some TV shows I recorded before going to bed before an equally active and hopefully just as lovely Sunday. beef and pudding? savory pudding more like a gravy? pudding here more means a sweet desert which sounds gross with beef. lol

they would see the pudding as a desert after a beef dinner main course though there is a meal called a steak pudding here - basically a steamed crustless pie

@Jessicalynnt we also have Yorkshire pudding which is basically a batter bowl that can be eaten as it is or filled with other food and gravy - they are delicious

If Beef and Pudding does not change the price of the meals, it will soon become a watering hole for people, instead of a place for dining.
