When I am near Milford, Iowa I always stop in at the Perkins restaurant.
They serve breakfast all day from pancakes to omelets.
They have specials and serve lunch and dinner also.
They serve special dishes to the fifty-five crowd and they are also kid friendly.
They have locations all over the US and Canada.
Inside each PerkinsĀ® family restaurant is an in-house bakery serving freshly made pies, muffins, cookies and more.
I hear their Chocolate French Silk Pies are wonderful although I haven't tried one yet.

Well they don't have a location with 2 hours of where I live. We used to go to one in another county years ago and they food went downhill, they cut back on quality and portion size.

@Marcyaz We lived near it 5 years and the first three it was pretty good..then they switched to 'fake' mashed potatoes and small portions.

I haven't been to a Perkins in years. There was one in the town my mom grew up in. None near me that I know of.

@fishtiger58 You will have to see if there is one anywhere close to where you live as they have really good food there.

I haven't been there but it sounds like a good, casual place to eat at.

We have a Perkins here too. Just one left. Used to be several of them. Haven't been for a long time because they are in a different part of town.

Many years ago we had a r ally bad experience at a Perkins. Because of this I personally tend to avoid them. We went with our family, myself, my husband and our five children, plus a niece. The oldest was thirteen years old so much everyone else could order from the children's menu...12 and under.
When the children's meals arrived I was more than dismayed to see...1/2 a hamburger patty on a dinner roll with a few French fries. Really. That's a child's meal . For the price we were paying they should have at least added a couple of fries. I was embarrassed. The kids left the restaurant hungry. If nothing else, it was a memorable meal.

@Morleyhunt Sorry to hear that maybe you could try eating at Perkins again as I have never any problems with them or the amount of the food they serve.

We used to have a Perkins in Raleigh ... now, a pawn shop took its place after it left. It's an extra-nice pawn shop, too.

@GrannyGee Did you like the food at Perkins? It's nice to have a good pawn shop. I stopped in the one here in this town that is called a pawn shop but it is more like a junk store not like any other pawn shop I have seen.

I love places that sell breakfast all throughout the day because I am not really a breakfast person. So me having breakfast would be about lunch time lol Which is when 90% of places stop serving breakfast here.

It is nice when you can go to a restaurant that serves breakfast all day as sometimes you don't want a really large meal and a breakfast would hit the spot.

Ha my very first "regular" job was at a Perkins Pancake, and my cousin works there now. I like it, but I think the food was better and more generous in the "old" days.

You are just being wicked. The food sounds delicious especially if the in house bakery is there. What is the fifty five crowd?

I love Perkins! Unfortunately they are not nationwide. Hard to find out here in the west and not in Southern California. The last Perkins I visited was in Florida.
