I Saw a Torn Page...

I was looking at my office and seeing what needed cleaning up then I happened on a piece of paper sticking out from underneath the bookcase, I pulled it out and read what was typed on it, it said: "It was a good morning, there were high white clouds above the mountains. It had rained a little in the night and it was fresh and cool on the plateau, and there was a wonderful view. We all felt good and we felt healthy, and I felt quite friendly to Cohn. You could not be upset about anything on a day like that. That was the last day before the fiesta." It was the end of a chapter from a book and there was nothing on the flip side of the page. I wondered if anyone has a clue as to what book this comes from, than at least I could marry up the page with the book. Thoughts anyone?

Well, you had me fooled as I thought you genuinely wanted to know. I see you have the answer more than once I confess I've never read The SunAlso Rises, so now I shall have to

I was seeking a way to see who knew the piece. I didn't anticipate that the first person answering it would simply look it up on the web.

@pgiblett I guess we're all wired to do that these days, I've noticed the people on here look up most things they're unsure of, even add info in comments. Quite an on going learning community

Yes having the first person look it up on the web rather spoiled the party.
