Interesting...
You should keep on improving upon your writing skills and then pitch to potential clients for say 200 RS.
Keep trying.

That is great. Communication, learning and growing the basics of writing initially.

I might be a little out of my league in answering or commenting on this. I am a member of mylot and 3 other writing sites for which I am still working for a first payment. But I am also a member of 2 academic writing sites with the first one which has already paid me for about 4 term papers.
I personally enjoy these last sited very much because they are very challenging, demanding but also very particular in what you have to do. Of course they do not pay much but usually they pay 3-4 dollars a page which I think is not bad. Anyway, just something to consider.

That is okay for an average writer.
If you are spending more than 1 hour per page, then you should aim for higher rates.
Thanks for the input. :)

Hmmm...Sure.
I am just wondering, at what rate you are okay to write.
For example, if a site says $10 for 500 word article. Are you willing to write?
What would you say if the offer was $1? Would you write?
How below you had written or willing to write?

@sugartoes Any money is better than no money and even pennies add up to a dollar.

Greatcontent paid $6-$8 for 500 words. I liked their system, "we'll pay you $X to write X amount of words about this subject". I hope to find something like that site again. But paying better, of course.

Sure, we all do. Writing is not credited well because of huge number of writers. To get the credibility one has to surpass the average logo.

@rohanmona. That's so right. Think I'm stuck at average, but steadily trying to improve my skills.

Oh...That is a superb angle. With the impact one can bring to writing, one can depend the rates. Superb.

That is great. Many writers opt for that. However majority would be willing to write at any rate. Definitely the quality is low ball for sure.

I think that should be evaluated written things matter depending on what is written is not the quantity but the quality of writing and therefore get paid.
have a nice day

Quality is the number one factor. Without that, any length of posts doesn't matter.

It depends on the site. Normally you have to start as little as a dollar for you to have a good reputation first.

Yes, I got reminded of iwriter. That wasn't a fair site. Many clients weren't able to rate writers that well.

@rohanmona,A couple of years back I had joined two article writing sites that paid per view. For one of these sites I wrote thirty posts, but could not earn a single cent.Perhaps my articles did not receive views. Now I am not active on those sites due to lack of time.

Back when Bubblews was still paying, I was making about a $1 per post. Which was great, except for the fact that it wasn't sustainable. I think that's the more important aspect.

Writing that pays long because of the credibility as it brings new business is sustainable. Also with times, our quality and rates should go high too.

For now I can't give a value to my work because many things to really consider. One, I'm not that confident yet on how I write. Two, I like to write stories, not everyone in here would appreciate it specially if it's a long one. I just posted a story and since it's a long one only a handful of lotters were able to give their two cents about it.
I post it here because somehow I can get some tips from others. It's okay if pay here is a bit slow but right now I'm seriously considering to post my stories elsewhere and just socialize in here

That depends entirely upon the type of material I write, the kind of placement--meaning is it a blog--a legal blog--do I have to do some research--all those things play into it for me

I think for me it is fun to write here. I am thankful for the few cents I am paid here though.
