Never thought of it.

If there is one fruit that I always buy, that is banana. Like I can eat a dozen in a day. Don't be surprised I was born in the year of the monkey, hahaha. But I found something, banana peel as shoe polish, never thought of it until yesterday. Watching "how to win at everything" on nat Geo, I was really amazed, more surprised with it. We all know that banana contains potassium, and so are shoe polishes. They used to nourished the leather in the shoes. Next time, will keep the peels not just as an organic fertilizer but as shoe polish.

So how was it? How does it compare with commercial polish? Does it only work on genuine leather?

Yeah bananas are hard to pick , I like mine just right I hate the fuzzy ones where it's too ripe, or the green ones where you bite into it and think arguhhhhh. Yep shoe polish heard of that , roses they are good for roses too, Plus I just recently found out that I've been peeling them the wrong way my whole life hahha Monkeys or apes peel from the butt end not the stalk, you squeeze the end and it splits then all that stringy stuff comes off with the peel how funny i learnt that off an ape hahah:)

I wasn't aware that potassium was used in shoe polish. I did hear that the inside of the peel is good for cleaning teeth though.

It is amazing how versatile the banana is. My hubs was born in the year of the monkey and loves bananas, too. We tease him a lot.

@Lucky15 Looks like this banana is a very versatile fruit. The other day somebody had written how bananas can ease cramps. I didn't know that either.

I put bananans in my smoothings as it helps the sweetness a little bit. I love smoothies as they taste good, and really healthy. I don't drink enough of them, so now I have decided that I will start drinking them more now, than I used to. I use frozen fruits, as well. I add part water and juice and it eally does taste good too.

@Lucky15 They keep the body alkaline, which we all need to stay healthy and not get sick. I decided to go back to drinking them everyday, as they also give me more energy too, and that is good too. I have a Ninja, so I might as well put it to good uee everyday.
