I am efficient because of my forgetfulness

I am generally lost and forget routine things, people's names, numbers quite efficiently, just like my father. By demand of my job profile, I must remember things, appointments and minor details. For that, I take online help, like calenders from gmail, outlook, etc, keeping notes of everything. however, if something can be done in 3-5 minutes, I make sure I complete it there and then. People actually complement me for my promptness. . I never tell them I am efficient because of my forgetfulness.
