How many times should I say the same thing?

Yesterday evening my dad had called my husband to discuss something. Towards the end of the call, my three year old son was talking to my father. I could hear some bits of conversation, Monu: How are you grandpa? Grandpa: I'm fine. How are you Monu? Monu: Fine Grandpa Grandpa: How was school? Monu: School was good. I learnt this song... Cut to today morning. My father had called me on my mobile and Monu was nearby wanting to talk to his grandpa again. Monu: Grandpa.. Grandpa: Monu, How are you? Monu: Fine Grandpa. There is a pause. I prompt Monu: Ask grandpa "How are you?" Then my son gives me a strange look and says this to me: "I asked the same thing from dad's phone yesterday. Why are you asking me to always say How are You? How are you? Tell me something else." I could hear my father laughing at the other end of the call while I was trying to come up with an explanation for Monu. The suggestion/questions that Monu comes up with are sometimes funny, sometimes simple but most times it gets me thinking how he perceives simple things. Have you ever come across a baffling question/suggestion by a kid?

Hahaha. Anyway, the kid is right. Tell him to ask, 'what have you been doing' instead.

Oh yes , when our only child was still a kid , she would ask a lot of questions . She grew up so smart , that we thought , so that's why she was so inquisitive when she was a kid .

I love the responses that little kids give sometimes. They are wise beyond their years. Blessings.
