I like reading, but lately I want to be able to read a book while doing workouts on the elliptical. Ebooks and kindle solved that. And recently I tried audible. I have known about this app which is basically an audio book version of kindle years ago. But I never really find its use until know. There are lots of good books out there even from new authors. And I like that even if I am busy working on something in my computer, all I need is to plug my earphones into my iPhone and fire up audible and I will be listening to the books I am currently reading/listening.

I am not sure that I would be able to focus on an audible book. I enjoy reading each word in a book.

@Marty1 when I am reading and encounter a word that is new to me, I'll try to figure out its meaning by the content of the sentence it is used in. If I still cannot figure it out I head for the dictionary. Yes, I still have a dictionary. People should have one handy when reading instead of looking it up on the internet.

I've been using audible for about a year now. I enjoy the convenience of it. I'm an avid reader but sometimes it's just not convenient to have an actual book. I walk alot and it is easier to listen to a book on my long walks. I've gotten quite the collection of books. Another thing I like about audible is that you can get kindle books at a discount if you buy the kindle and audible version together.

I like the real thing. I like paper books. I have never used the others. I would try them if the opportunity came along though
