Mark Davis who is the current owner of the Oakland Raiders on Thursday did announce the good news to the Raider Nation fans that the team will be playing their home games during the 2016 football season at O.co Coliseum during the 2016 football season.
The Raiders management has reached an option to remain in Oakland for the 2017 and 2018 football season to play their home games at the O.co Coliseum so that the city of Oakland can reach an agreement with the team to build them a new stadium.
The Raiders could be moving to the Los Angeles in 2017 if the San Diego Chargers decide to leave San Diego after the 2016 football season for Los Angeles in 2017 if the city of San San Diego cannot keep the franchise in their city after the 2016 football season.
The Raiders have played in Oakland from 1960-1981 as well as Los Angeles from 1982-1994 and back to Oakland since the 1995 football season.
Time will tell if the Raiders will remain in Oakland after the 2016 football season or move to another city after the 2016 football season ends.

It's cool that the Raiders are staying in Oakland for at least one more year because they finally have a decent team. The Raiders weren't able to move to LA because the owners voted for the majority of the Rams and the Chargers moving. The owners are looking to make a huge profit from the LA franchises while Oakland is barely making a profit now. It's all about the green.
