The power of wi-fi/internet connection and our smart phones is amazing! I have never met some of my relatives in person or even seen them in pictures so when my family was able to FaceTime with relatives, it was an awesome experience! I was able to meet a lot of them because they were at each others houses during Chinese New Year.
Do you often use FaceTime or some sort of video call?

That is great to hear. I love being able to see the person I am talking to also!

@pauliek I think Yahoo Messenger still exists. I just used it last year or two ago!

@infatuatedbby Then, I will have to check it out. I have been very satisfied with the quality of calls on SKYPE which is much better than Messenger.

@brokenbee I think YahooMessenger stopped its operations about four years ago. I use SKYPE now and it is much better than Y!Messenger ever was.

I have not used facetime myself, and I've no need to talk to someone so far away. However, I have had friends who now benefit from this technology. It's great that we are able to communicate with family within minutes instead of over weeks (waiting for letters).

I hardly use FaceTime, but I found it so useful now especially since we live across seas! I love it and hope to do this often.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, I can. Not very frequently, but enough to keep a conversation going.

That sounds really good. I have never use FaceTime before. I always wish we had this kind of technology when my husband and I were apart when we were studying in different countries.
My husband's family is using WeChat to communicate with my brother-in-law who is working in New Zealand now. Perhaps we can check out FaceTime and see if it's good for them to use.

But will be some day. This time I am still at home, so we Face Time everytime. lol I think they wanna get rid of me now. lolz

Sweet, I use skype for video calls with my relatives who reside overseas. But I've done so only on my laptop, I've never tried it on my phone.
