I lost a close family member the other day. His name was Kim Williams. He was a great songwriter, great person, and just a super guy. He had written numerous songs in country music in the early 90s. His biggest hit was probably "Three Wooden Crosses" By Randy Travis back in 2012, I think. It is a great song. I will miss Kim. He had taught me a lot about writing, and he will forever be missed. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Kim lived in Nashville, TN. and was borned in Kingsport, TN. I remember him while growing up me and my father would go to his house in Rogersville, TN and would I would listen to them talk about music, and they would play the guitar and sing songs together. I was amazed at how good that Kim could play the guitar after he got burned in his early age at a glass plant that he worked at. He played very well on that guitar. His talent and his songwriting ability was just a gift from God. I am thankful to God that I was kin to Kim Williams.
The picture below is of Kim Williams. I found it on my 3rd cousin's FB profile.
Rest In Peace Kim, we love you!

I got a PM from a friend about that Thursday night. A Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member, everyone praised him for his kind, wonderful spirit as well as his songwriting skills. I found a video from one of the Knoxville stations a few years ago that interviewed him about writing "Three Wooden Crosses," "If the Devil Danced in Empty Pockets," and so many others. His story was so inspirational, too: he survived a near-fatal plant explosion that resulted in over 100 reconstructive surgeries.
As he wrote in "Three Wooden Crosses," "It's not what you take when you leave this world behind you, it's what you leave behind you when you go." Country music has lost a great songwriter, and we're feeling that. Your loss is far more personal, and my prayers and thoughts are with you and all of Kim's family. Thanks for sharing him with the world.

@sugartoes thanks for that. He was a great person. and a great songwriter. I respected his talents, on the guitar, and in songwriting. One song that he didn't cut was one of my favorites called, "Rachael's Room". It was awesome. I think all of his songs were great.
Thanks for responding!
