I hate to admit that I do spend a lot of time on Facebook. But lately, I am seeing that I am finding more out about current events, weather and even deaths quicker on Facebook than I would on my own local newspaper or station! Everyone has seen those people that post more than they need to on Facebook, not to mention air their personal business out daily. But, I have found I am knowing if it is going to snow from Facebook rather than my local news station reports!

This is true. I wonder if there will ever be a day where social media completely replaces the local news. While I doubt it, it's still an interesting thought.
