Tomorrow I will leave for another city-234 km away from where I live -to visit my 85 year old uncle who is bedridden due to a cerebral accident. My grandparents had a family of three and my mum was the eldest of the family .Now My uncle is the only one alive among them .
Happily, high-speed rail from our city to there was opened to traffic just Feb,8,2016,so it cuts 4 hours trip it used to be down to one hour now .

I see that you have already returned! It's very nice of you to visit your Uncle. A cerebral accident - I hope he will fully recover and soon! I hope all went well with your trip - and that all went smoothly with the high speed rail system.

You are so sweet to go visit your uncle, here in America, that is so rare and something we have lost over the years, to respect and care for our elders. Have a safe trip my friend, glad I saw this, otherwise I would start to worry like last time.

Thank you ! It was two days 'trip going there and back.I haven't seen my uncle for ages due to attending to my parents. The only consolation for me is that uncle's mind is still clear without the loss of speech ,though he has had hemiplegia.

It seems that China has upped a lot of the train services to high speed. I hope you have a pleasant trip to see your uncle and I hope he is not too poorly.

Sadly ! My uncle passed away about one month after we visited him. I have not started that many posts here, because it is not a piece of cake for me to write a discussion in English.
