I have never blocked anyone at myLot but I am getting close

While I think blocking someone just to be nasty or just because you don't like old people or whatever silly reason is not reason enough. But there could be a legitimate reason. Right now I'm 90 percent sure I have a good, legitimate reason. I won't mention a name since to me that would not be proper. And I am only posting this to perhaps blow off some steam! Maybe just posting this will clear my mind, or not. I'll see how it goes. Have you blocked anyone on myLot?

So far I have never had cause to block anyone, but of course would consider the action if circumstances required it. I am glad that you are not considering blocking me for being an old fool.

@Asylum I wouldn't block you if you weren't old but just a fool. But, that's because I've come to know you and know you're not a fool.

I have blocked one person, and reported him. I had a good reason in my opinion and it is not one of the usual ones.

@sugartoes I won't go into the details, just take my word for it, it wasn't nice - it wasn't making conversation.

@sugartoes It would only have something do to with you if you were the rude person I'm talking about. The person I am referring to has not commented on this discussion.

I have never (and never will) blocked anyone here. I don't see the point of a block button on a social site at all. Whether any have blocked me is another kettle of fish. I have no idea and it doesn't bother me if they have. They are missing out not me

@mysdianait I joke around with a lot of people here, you included but that joking is fun. This person's 'joking' is very insulting.

By blocking the person I'm talking about won't hurt me at all.

I wrote something in answer to your question, but can't find it here. I'm thinking I must have forgotten to hit the respond button to submit it. Fudge. I've not blocked anyone yet, but I know some that have when a member is a bit nasty and such.

It's just that this person did the same thing and then nothing, not they are back at it.

@pgntwo Fishhooks, that'd be a good one. My daughter made up, snitzel as she used to work with children in a daycare.

Usually, if you have a good reason for blocking someone, that person is also very likely to be violating of the Terms or Guidelines. If that is the case, then you should report the person by sending a PM to GoAskAlice (and then use Block to protect yourself from any further harassment). Since you don't state the reason, it's difficult to say whether it really is something which is against the Terms or Guidelines!

@AbbyGreenhill I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds very like bullying to me, if it's happened more than once. Certainly, I'd think you would be justified in blocking the person.

If it were against any guidelines, etc. I would report the person. It's not like that. I don't want to go into details. It isn't harassment it is more like trying to get my goat, saying things that make me come off as stupid.

I have blocked one person here because they were harassing me. Every discussion I commented on they would argue with me and they were rude on my own discussions as well. I finally blocked them after a while of it happening.

@AbbyGreenhill Aw thank you. =) They didn't like that my family needed help at the time financially so they told me off about how we went about getting money for food. Then they followed me on every discussion I commented on and argued with whatever I wrote. It upset me enough to block them. I try to always treat others as I want to be treated, apparently they didn't believe in that. Lol.

I don't know how anyone could be rude to you - you are so nice and calm all the time even under the stress of having a baby and moving at the same time - literally anyway.

@AbbyGreenhill T'is for this reason the Block feature exists, perchance?
• United States
15 Feb 16
not here, there is one ninny I considered blocking, but then didn't as she never will post on my topics. Made the mistake posting on a few of her , she likes to be right, debate, I just ignore her topics. I guess I am not here often enough to worry about a few peeps, I try to ignore the unhappy campers.

I have never blocked anyone. It is an option if someone gets nasty or disgusting. I think someone blocked me, though. Either that, or he is no longer at myLot. I was getting very annoyed anyway, so I don't care. I love the myLotters that I can talk to, help, or learn from.

I have never blocked anyone, but I guess if they got vulgar and nasty I could do it. I am pretty sure I could do it.. but other than that. If someone should say something that I did not really agree with but was important to them, that is no reason to be blocked. I learn from people every day on here, and I hope I never hurt or push anyone to the limit that they would want to block me.
