People Are Fascinating, Agree?

I was sitting inthe activities room and startedto wach certainindividuals. The poor fellow who has some mental block that walks back and forth and will do this for manminute then sts down. Somehow he seems to gravitate t the area next to me. The fellow at times drives me nuts as he will hover in a door way not moving until you get almost on top of him. feel at times like giving him a gentle push.
Then theres the femme fatale who just came here. She wears a black pants suit the top rather see through and the neckline in back bares her shoulders. She is slim. The picture hat is black, her out fit is black and she batts her blue eyes at any male over fifty here. She gloms on to one and talks his ear off. Sadly she lives in a room next door to me.She does not really see us lowly old wo men . She is after the guys why heavens knows here in a retirement center.
Then there are these two guys extremely tall and good natured who seem to think I need help when we are in the elevator as they tease me for being only five foot two. Nice fellows but look guys Im an old lady they may be in their sixties but nice to have friends of course. But I do not need help.
Anyway people are fascinating. The fat gu y in the wheel chair asked me if I was okay. I was rubbing one finger as it hurt where he med lady had drawn drawn blood for my blood sugar test. Nice of him, as I said its nice to have friends, some do know me by name and its always' Are you okay Patsie?" Most of these are fellow diabetics and know that Im not happy having tp
come d own here and join them in esting my blood sugar.
I told the fat guy in the wheel chair that the last blood draw had really hurt my finger. he commiserated with me. Now look I have no romantic interest in any of these nice people but we are all friends.I had one love of my life and Im satisfied with that.
Jessie a dear friend of mine would be my choice if we were the same age and got romantic as he has endeared himself to me over the years. But hes the age of my son however. he told me once he really l iked me a whole lot.We are fellow diabetics . But he does have a love his own age and she moved in with him. They make a lovely couple and they also told me they are my friends
As I said I do not want to be romantic with anyone as I honor my marriage. When one had had the best thats the best.too.

I feel as you do. My romance and love days are over. This femme fatale you speak of sounds like quite a character. Personalities stay with us after so many years. Certain practices it is next to impossible to change. Takes all kinds to make a world anyway.

I think second loves are ok too, but you have to go with what you heart says!

People watching is a fascinating habit. Just think of all the stories behind these characters. Who they were, what they did, where their families are? Etc etc Everyone has a story to tell Patsie. It is ridiculous that they will not allow you to test your own blood sugar. You are not simple and have had diabetes for some time I am guessing?

What an interesting short description of characters you've came across in the day. The first mental guy is peculiar, miss fatale smells like gold digger much, the two guys in the elevator/fat guy in the wheelchair are harmless and finally Jessie certainly is a good friend and confidant. I respect your good heart, sorry I've been calling you Hatley, now I'll switch to Pastie.
