The Cold Weather Makes Me Drink Less Water

Since the Siberian wind made the weather cold here , I noticed that I drink lesser water .
I can always drink a glassful each time I drink , but now it’s only half of the glass .
I know , that’s because I don’t sweat in the cold weather . But I do pee a lot though .
I am trying to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day , so I just drink half a glass every now and then .
What about you guys , does the cold weather makes you drink less water ?

@SIMPLYD I once asked the Filipino woman I worked with how cold it got in the Philippines. She told me around 60º F (15.5 º C). I guess if you are use to 32º C most of the time 15.5º C would feel cold.

I have to admit that I don't normally drink very much water but I do drink coffee and green tea.

@SIMPLYD,I drink water whenever I get thirsty. And every time I get thirsty, I never drink less than two glassfuls. This habit has helped me keep my digestive system in a very good shape.I never compromise with the quantity of water I drink no matter what season it is.

Hi there ! It's nice that you are already here too . I missed you .
I can see that you are in the hottest place here in the Philippines . You mean the Siberian wind doesn't reach your place to make it cold at least ?
Indeed , when the weather is hot , you can really get to bathe two or 3 times a day .

I seldom get thirsty when it's cold so that' why my water intake is lesser when it's cold.
This cold weather is a big welcome to us in tropical climate . How i wish it's always this was , which is so impossible , since we are near the Equator indeed .

I feel the same. When it is cold winter here, I don't want to drink a lot of water because I have to go to the toilet more often and sometimes I will feel colder after that. I know water is important for us. So I have a trick. I will use a big mug so that it can make sure everytime I will drink a lot of water.

Yes, that is true . And in cold weather since we don't sweat , we drink less and we also bathe sometimes only .

Drink less and eat more , i think that's the natural reaction of our bodies when it's cold.
And it's bad to eat more , because we gain weight .

Yes, because I don't sweat as much and so I lose my water slower. Might that be a valid reason?

@SIMPLYD Honestly, I find that eat more in the winter than in the summer. I would think that the body needs more energy to keep warm.

Yes, I noticed that too.
When I stayed in Baguio City, I only had about three glasses of water/juice a day.

That's what is not good with being in a cold climate - you drink less , but eat more though .

The cold has actually pissed me off every morning because I needed to sweat to the point that i had to wear winter jacket to start sweating for my exercise. however it doesn't affect much on my eating habits since I am focused on diet for loosing weight.

Yes, just wear jackets and jogging pants so it can battle the cold and will make you sweat . No , sweat , no, glory .
Patience and determination is the key . You might also want the before 6 p.m diet .

That's the most thing that we can do - think of drinking water at least a glass every hour to complete the required water intake .

I tend to drink a lot of water all the time (the healthiest thing I do!), but yeah, i will drink more when it is hot.

Good for you that even when it's cold you still can drink a lot of water . Though , when it's hot , naturally we will keep drinking water , because we sweat a lot .
