I have got 16 lovely budgies in my outside aveary that my husband built for them.
Now our oldest budgie is 8 years old from a baby.
I change their water everyday, and obviously make sure their seed is topped up blowing off the empty shells.
They have a healthy diet with fruit & veg such as:
(Little) cucumber
Lettuce & red Apple
Egg (now & then)
Parsley is their favorite!
Here is Cyprus every pet store says NO not to give parsley to them as dangerous!
Google says it's fine!
I've been doing this for 8 years and my birds are very happy.

I used to have five budgies in a small aviary in my living room. They were so beautiful. Recently my son asked me if I remembered all their names and I did. He did too, of course! I had Treasure, Pearl, Sunshine, Pirate and Maynard. Maynard was given to me first and he could talk but not clearly.

That's good that is, because usually it's difficult to train a bird when there's more than one. I mean I have 16 so no chance hahaha
If I had 1 or 2 then I would definitely do the training
I don't have names for my birds as too many but they obviously all no me and look forward to their everyday veg meze

@Nikkiahmet Yes, Maynard was an "only" bird before I had him. Now my brother in law had a huge aviary in his yard as big a large shed, two sides were screened. I'm a little hazy as he lived in California and I only saw it once, but it had nesting boxes and a ton of birds. He raised them for fun and profit. I think he kept a couple of pet shops supplied. No longer, but it was very impressive when I saw it.

hahaha.. no
They just non-stop chattering and when one starts tweeting happily, then they all do!
They are lovely birds and lovely to sit and watch.
We have nesting boxes inside also, but I lead them their natural life and to look after their own. As I'm not a breeder but I don't judge anybody that does this either because many people do do this.
If you don't want them breeding, simply take out their nesting boxes but if you do want to breed, the female need a good fresh diet just like a pregnant person to lay a healthy egg. Otherwise can end up infertile.

My mother had a lot of aviary birds and my sister also has budgies. I haven't heard any reports about parsley for cage birds.
