Snowing Again

Yesterday my hubby and I spent about 40 minutes outside shoveling. While we do have a snow blower this was light fluffy snow that was easy to push with the snow shovel. We got the driveway, sidewalk and walkway all clear. This morning when I looked out I could see a slight new covering of snow, but not very much and then about two hours ago I saw more snow coming down. It wasn't fast and very small flakes too so I was hoping that it wouldn't be enough to have to shovel again. Well in the last hour the flakes have gotten bigger and are coming down faster too so it will more shoveling this afternoon. Hubby has a couple of meetings to go to this afternoon and evening so we do have to get the driveway clear so he can pull out. While we haven't had a ton of snow this winter, I am so ready for spring! The picture was from January 2016 looking out my kitchen window.

My son used the new snow blower yesterdy as we had a good amount of snow in the driveway again. I am glad so far this morning there is no snow coming down. I am tired of this snow.

I probably would have gotten the snow blower out...I am thankful for a bit of exercise from shoveling.

Meanwhile, here in Manitou, it's already spring. At least, the weather is spring-like.

The weather sure has gone crazy...a friend in Alaska said she has none! Very weird!

We have been very lucky here in MI this year! I think we only took out the shovel 1 or 2 times. We have my daughter's little pink shovel sitting in the frontroom for those rare occasions where we needed to clear the porch. It is a welcome break from the last two years where it snowed so much every single day. I'll take it! But I'm still ready for spring :-D

It took until mid January before we got a heavy snowstorm and have had a few days where it has snowed enough to have to clear the driveway and walkways, but it is much milder than the past few years...I want spring too!

snow,
I do not mind the light snow becquse it is gone real fast and does not cause accidents.

I haven't ventured out to see how today's snow is..but I think it is the light fluffy stuff again and since we are up to 30 F I am hoping it just melts away..well a girl can dream. lol

We had a bit of a thaw the last few weeks so now everything is pretty much bare other than a few snow pileups near the curbing. Today was forty degrees, but snow is headed our way with the possibility of 2-12 inches by tomorrow night. Forties again on Saturday, though, so only the next two days to get through. If it snows that much here, even if it's light and fluffy, I'll be using the snowblower to be sure.

I'm thankful that I live in the tropics without have to go through the tedious task of shoveling snow out of my way!
