Dreading Tomorrow

February 16, 2016 9:58pm CST
I've had a 5 day weekend from one of my jobs. The one I talked about earlier, where I go to school with little G. I've been going with him for 4 years. It's been good. I have considered myself friends with his teacher. And now she's decided she wants me out. I dont know why. I dont' know where it's coming from. But it's getting more and more awkward. I know I've talked about it before so I don't need to dwell on it. BUT, on Friday (we had no school) she sent an email to his parents officially requesting a meeting. Which means now she knows that I know she wants me out. So tomorrow is going to be awkward, and long and bad and I'm dreading it.

This is the aspect of working in the schools I disliked. It gets political and control situation and in the end the kids suffer mostly.

The politics of the education system and special needs world drives me nuts!

I agree. The school systems want to chunk everyone together as if they learn in the same ways. Even those who are in specialized classes ; They do not necessarily get the attention they need to flourish.

Well, I missed most of what is going on with this situation... but I hope everything works out for the best anyway.

It sounds to me as if the teacher has something to hide. She has no right to try to get you booted out. If it's just that she is uncomfortable with you being there , well that is too bad. If you aren't there someone else will have to be. It won't be easy for Little G either, not having you there.

I know. His parents are beside themselves, they've hired a lawyer... it's going to get ugly and oh so uncomfortable. Not looking forward to it at all.
