What is a reasonable price to pay for a tune up in your area?

My car is misfiring and really needs a tune up. I want to pay as little as possible, but this area is not as cheap as the city. I would like to pay less than 50.

$50 is a good price although it different there it here in the UK, it would be way more.

we don't have tune ups here as such. we have various levels of servicing and we have diagnostic checks and any of them would be way above $50. If your car is misfiring it needs fixing. Maybe over there it'd be cheaper than $50 but here that'd be the minimum just to find out what the problem was. Maybe a friend has the diagnostic plug in that could find the problem?
