Embryo found in egg! WOW.. Of course we wouldn't eat the egg, but finding this is very natural. But for a embryo that was a good size to be found with very 'light' yellow/cream yolk the egg must be old! I'm sure a good healthy egg yolk is a Orange colour, because it's impossible for an embryo to form this quick !! I found a live worm in my potato once and I was about to make a jacket spud! Ewww! But again, natural because dah! The potatoes are grown in fields

A light yellow yolk is not an indication of the age of the egg. It is related to the first of the chicken. To have an embryo begin to form in a fertilized egg can happen in a day....it only takes 21 days for a healthy chick to hatch.

I must have failed to put an x on one. Some of the hens would steal eggs from mothers that got off the nest to feed. So the sitters weren't the only ones that had the fertile eggs. My mistake. In that case though life didn't go on. What will be the news of the future I wonder? Woman has baby outside of lab? Wow!
