Now that I am finally back on and trying to keep inform what has happening here. This morning had my nail removed on my big toe.Right now resting it. The nail was so ugly and fungus. So glad to get rid of it. Surgery was not bad. They numb it and spray it and numb it. When he was ready.A tool underneath the nail as he slow pulled it off. Then he clean the bed of the nail.spray some more stuff to be sure to kill what ever is left there. This so will not come back. I have to soak my feet for a week.Apply antibiotic ointment. On left toe nail also need to be removed. But will wait on this. Not as bad as this one. Have anyone ever had a nail removed? /The photo is mine.Orchid plant raised by Mike.

My sister had part of her nail cut out, due to a contuing problem with it being ingrown. She had pretty much the same routine of soaking and ointment.

I take it that this was done on an outpatient basis. Never had that happen to me and really don't want it to. The orchids are beautiful.

Ouch. My daughter had to have a couple of toenails removed. She was in quite a bit of pain after the numbness wore off. Not a fun thing.

Last year i had problems with my big toe nails. They were curling inside and started growing inside my flesh. Both toes were swollen. I almost had it removed my the doctor but somebody told me that it would still hurt a lot so i quickly changed my mind. I searched the internet and found a way to soften my toe nails so i can cut it with the nail cutter without so much pain. Now my big toe nails are back to normal and i avoid wearing too tight shoes.

That does not sound like fun @amadeo . In August of last year I noticed that the Big Toe nail was starting to rot at the cuticle. The whole toenail eventually rotted completely off and a new one is growing. I have no idea why either.

I never had it removed by a doctor. It just came out by itself after an accident while playing. A new nail just grew back in its place.

5 years ago I also underwent a minor surgery to remove a sty inside my left eyelid. O, that orchid! Our daughter gifted me an orchid in my last birthday. She knows that I love flowers . . . Here is a photo of my orchid . .
