I decided to get my hair cut.

@cacay1 ...I used to have my hair about shoulder length and in a perm.

Wow, that is really long. I bet it is getting hard to take care of too.

@celiceagle, hehehee, try short, you will see the difference. The more you look so beautiful.This time I have my hair curled. I just like curly hair and am doing this thing for 8 years now.

Thank you. I think the gal who did it, did a very good job. I go to a place called, Perfect Look, and I have been going there for years. They have always done a good job, and that is why I keep going back.

@rosekiss It is good to have a place you can go and relax knowing they wont do a bad job.

@TiarasOceanView It really is, and it isn't that far away either. I go about every 8 weeeks or so, as I can't stand it any longer, as it gets shaggy.

@rosekiss When you look good you feel good, the shorter cuts also saves on shampoo and styling time.

Yes, she certaainly did. I could never do it myself, that is for sure, and I would try to either. I go to the same place everytime I need to get it cut. They know me there and know how I like it cut so I know I won't have any prolem without it being done right.

That is to funny. My hair looked like I could just fly away with the wings; It looked awful, and I got tired of looking at it, so i decided I would get it cut. It will grow out fast again, as it always does.

I must have really started a hair cut movement by posting this discussion. I did it to feel better, and I guess others want to feel better and look better too.

Oh that is cool. It is sure easy to take care of. I don't like long hair anymoe, as it just get to unmanageable, and hard to take care of.

@just4him Oh, so did I, but then it got hard to take care of, so I just decided that I didn't need it anymore so got it cut off. I have never regretted my decision to do so either.

@rosekiss It does, though I enjoyed my long hair when I had it.

@rosekiss Here, I always have to wear a hat because of the cold and my hair never gets messed up with this haircut.

@1hopefulman My ex husband wears a hat all the time too, and he has less hair that you do. He does that because he has a bald spot on top and if he doesn't, the sun will hit it and he will get burnt. So, it isn't unsual for men to wear hats to protect their hair or their scap.

Ha ha. That is way funny. Short hair does look better on most people anyway, as it does with me, so I will keep it short from now on.

@allknowing My family says I look better with shorter hair, and they are so right, as I think I do as well.

I used to have really long hair when I was yunger, as I had it down the middle of my back, but after that, I realized that it was just to hard to take care of, so I had it cut off, and I have never regretted it at all, as I look much better with short hair.

@rosekiss I think the older one is short hair looks good. I am just wanting a change and I know short hair suits me too

@SIMPLYD Nope, never tried it, as I am sure it would look awful, and be all uneven. I do need to get it done by the professionals, as they know what they are doing.

It certainly is, and I don't have to worry about pulling my hair when I lean back in the chair, o I don't have to worry about putting it into a ponytail either, as I had to do that a lot when my hair was long. I don't look good in ponytails at all.

That is great that it is easy to care for. Mine was so thick, that it took forever to dry and hard to wash as well. I used to wash my hair in the sink back then, which means I was bent over and it was hard to know if I had used enough shampoo to cover the hair. I would never do that now, as it is much easier to wash in the shower. If you feel that your hair is easy to take care of, then don't cut it, as not everyone looks good with short hair. I, on the other hand, do not look good with long hair, so that is why I keep it short.

@DianneN Oh so did I. Even know when my hair starts to grow out, I will get it cut, as it litterally drives me nuts, as I cna't do anyting with it. I hate using hair bands, and I have deone that already, which meant it needed a good cutting them too, so I have decided that I won't let it get unmanageable and cut it when it needs it.

@rosekiss I have a thick, bush woman head of hair. I always fought it when it was long.

I agree with you there. You very seldome see otlder women with longer hair, as it really isn't becomeing on them at all. I love having short hair.

@LadyDuck I have seen elderly women with gray hair and long hair, and yes it does look weird, and not becoming at all. I won't dye my hair just have long hair. Dying the hair isn't all that good either, so I will just stay with short gray hair.

@rosekiss If you want to have long hair getting old, you have to dye hair all the time. Long grey hair look weird.

I have had more problems with the old site, and I just got tired of it. I am glad that I was suggested the new site as it loads much faster, and I like th drop down menus, which keep things all in order together, so I don't have to search for things all over the place.

@amadeo I do loved the new site and it is much better than the old one, so there will be no problem there, and besides, the old one has been removed, so there is only the new one on here now.

Thank you for saying so. I normally don't take all that many pictures of myself, as I don't take good pictures, but with the new site, the pictures does look more vibrant and clearer as well.

@Drosophila Thank you. I do try to smile in all my pictures even though it might be a smile with my mouth closed, but that is the only smile that looks good on me.

I am glad about that too. I have always like the place, and not having to go do far is great too. They take pride in their work, so that is why I continue to go back there.

@silvermist Ya, I don't have to deive but a couple of miles, and that isn't bad. It is a great beaut shop, and I have also had perms there too, which always turn out nice as well.

I am glad i got it cut again, as it was bugging me, and now I won't have to worry about it for awhile anyway.

I sure do look funny with my wings, and they won't lie flat either, as they stick up, so I decided it was time to get them cut off. It feels better and looks better too.

@simone10 Since I have gray hair, that is probably why I get wings bad too. I look like I am ready to take off and fly when I get them.

@rosekiss I agree with the wings...lol. With me, it's the gray hair that is so wild and makes me have wings.

Long hair doesn't look good on any man that is for sure. My son used to have long hair when he was younger, but now he keeps it short and it looks great, but then he is in his 40's, so long hair on him would look awful.

@DianneN From the back, you donn't inow if you are talking to a man or a woamm if they have long hair; It would be embarrassing to say hi madam, and it is a man, oh boy.

thank you so much for saying so. It is much easier to take care of than long hair, that is for sure. All I have to do is wash it and go, as it dries itself.

@birjudanak Yes, it is, as I can just wash it and then go. It is much easier to deal with than long hair which takes a lot time to dry, and gets tangled too.

@rosekiss i always like short hair or millatry cut because no need to do any hair stright or do set it while go out side and easy to wash...

I don't look good with long hair at my age. It is much easier to keep it cleaner, and just wash and go. I love that, as most of the time I don't have time to dry it, and I don't have to worry about it now. The beautician told me I had nice hair. I thought it was thinning out, but she said it is pretty thick, as my hair is normally thinck. My hair grows entirely to fast, that is for sure.
