~The Doctor Found A Heart Murmur~

Julian
Valdosta, Georgia
February 18, 2016 4:52pm CST
We went to the doctor today. The doctor listened to Julian's heart for about 20 minutes. Sitting there I knew something was wrong by how long he listened. The doctor said Julian has a heart murmur. He said instead of going on the 24th we need to take him to the cardiologist tomorrow morning. This is not the news I was expecting. Please pray for my little angel.

My youngest grandson had a heart murmur when he was born, and now he is 5 years old, and I think it is gone now. Sorry to her about him having a heart murmur, but there isn't anything to worry about, but it is better to be safe than sorry. He is a cutie pie for sure, and well worth what you went through to have him. I pray that everything goes well at the cardiologist and they can take care of his heart murmur.

@LovingMyBabies He looks like an angel, when he sleeps, so precious. I am praying too that it isn't as bad as the doctor thinks it is. I am sure he will be okay.

@Rosekiss I am praying it is nothing, the doctor made me nervous with how fast he wanted to get him to the cardiologist. And the look on his face made me nervous as well. Thank you, he is my little angel. =)

What a cute little guy you have there. I am so sorry to hear this. I know it is going to cause you anxiety big time. There were abnormalities in both of my grandchildren and one was in the head and the other in his heart. All repaired themselves. I hope that there is something similar that can transpire in your case. Remember the sooner they find these things the sooner they can get it corrected. I hope there is some good news soon for you.

@celticeagle I am praying it is nothing major. I didn't realize when I wrote this that heart murmurs are so common. When I think of the heart I thinking of major if something isn't right with it. Apparently that's not always the case. Thank you. =)

Oh Lovings I am sorry to hear this, greatly concerned for the little lad. Listen I know this might sound off, but my youngest sister had a heart murmur when she was a baby also. She must have grown out of it or something, as she is fit as a fiddle today. Just a bit of comfort and hope I thought I might share with you. Of course will pray for the little child that this is a temporary setback in his growth.

I think with a baby that young they want to be really sure that what they're hearing isn't an issue. It's a good thing that you're getting in to the cardiologist so quickly--knowing that it's necessary is stressful, for sure, but you should have some definite information once you meet with him or her tomorrow without having to wait indefinitely to get into the office and find out what's going on. Huge hugs, Mama. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that it turns out to be something that's not a serious issue.

@Yukimori Yeah I am glad that we will know what's going on but at the same time the rush of it all made me more nervous. Thank you for the hugs and kind words.

Sending prayers and hoping all is well with Julian. As others have said it's usually nothing but it's good that your doctor is having him checked by a cardiologist. Try not to worry too much

Please try not to worry. I am sure it is just precautionary. Imagine how many people I have seen over the years who had been told they had heart murmers when they were a child and are now in their 80's and 90's. Keep you chin up but do get the baby checked out. Prayers are winging their way across the Atlantic!

@Garymarsh6 Yes that's what it was, just for precautionary reasons. The cardiologist thinks he is okay so I'm grateful for that. Thank you for praying for him! =)

Here is hoping the doctor is being extra cautious and it is the non dangerous type of heart murmer so many have. Take care.
