What ? Haircut Again !

Yes, this is what we will always say at home when after two weeks my father-in-law would again call for a home service to have his hair cut .
And before , when the barber doesn’t answer the phone , he would let his caregiver give him a haircut using the electric razor . And they both will have fun .
And the caregiver can really give him a nice haircut , in fairness .
We even tell father-in-law to just have a bald head instead , so he won’t be calling the barber every other week to give him a home service . But he doesn’t like that , though it appears that his haircut after all is semi-bald.
How often do you have your hair cut ?

So, what happened adversely , when you trimmed it secretly ?

@SIMPLYD According to our religion we aren't even allowed to touch scissors to our hair... We abide by 5K's:
'Kesh' meaning hairs (maintain long hairs for both men and women)
'Kanga' meaning a comb (a small one always kept with men or some women)
'Kachh'(Mainly men thing)
'Kada' meaning a single metal bangle (to be always worn by both men and women as a sign of our religion)
'Kirpan' meaning a small holy knife... It's for protection of others irrespective of caste, color, religion, etc and also for defense NEVER for violence. It's stated strictly in our religion.
I had got my hair trimmed only 3 times in my whole life *secretely* at first but later disclosed it...

@kevin1877uk If i convert it to our currency which is 705 pesos , it is expensive . A haircut here is only about 50 pesos in an ordinary hair salon .

Mine varies quite a bit. I usually make a point of having it cut just prior to taking a holiday, which amounted to roughly every 6 months while I was working. Nowadays I travel more often, but probably have around 4 haircuts during the year.

As far as I know there is no home haircutting service here–at least in the area I live. I hate paying to get my hair cut so I get it cut maybe twice a year. I usually get it cut fairly short then let it grow out.

@SIMPLYD Not too bad if it is cut short to begin with.

You every 6 months ? Then your hair would be too long already . Me , i think every two months , which remind me to have it cut so no split -ends .
So, your brothers too , twice a month . Then , i guess it's a natural thing that FIL wants his haircut every two weeks .

I had my elbow-length hair cut last year on the first day of April after I had a vacation in a nearby province; my hair was ear-level. Now after a year, my hair's length is 2 inches lower than my shoulders, and I plan to have it cut in bob. The problem is I act boyish when I don a short hair.

@ridingbet I was also when we were in high school . I had some crushes . Maybe because we are all in an exclusive school for girls run by nuns .

Maybe it has become his fascination to have a newly trimmed hair all the time. My husband's hair grows so fast so that if i would also want him to have it trimmed every two weeks because he looks younger and handsomer when his hair is shorter but he waits till 3 to 4 weeks before going back to the barber.

Actually he said , his head becomes itchy when the hairs are growing again .
Just like you i like my husband hair trimmed too , because like you said , he also looks younger and more handsome when his hair is shorter . But just like your husband he would go to the barbershop about every two months only .

I only cut my hair when Igo to see my cousins in San Fernande as my cousin Juani is a hairdresser. When I get there, she says she´ll call when the beauty parlour is ready and I go there for beauty and gossip. She cuts my hair as she likes and shealways leaves it wonderful.

I used to have my head almost bald and it was terrible look for me. I would say two months before my hair gets cut again.

@SIMPLYD Once a month! But I shave my beards every morning! They grow fast. And I also shave all other hairs in my body.

Wow , once a month . Then , it is budgeted every month for that .
As to the beard , that's true with men as my husband always do that every morning too.
And that's too industrious of you to shave all the hairs in your body .
