Why Gardening is Fascinating

When I was a kid, we had a big yard where Mom and Dad plant not just ornamental plants but also different kinds of fruit trees and vegetables. As a child, I learned to value and appreciate the importance of planting because we did not only have a very cool and refreshing surrounding but we also did not run out of fresh organic vegetables and fruits on our table. This is the reason why gardening is my favorite hobby. I don't want to miss those benefits and all the more the excitement of seeing my plants blooming and fruiting. What hobby fascinates you the most?

@brokenbee we have to rest our eyes from our computers too. The garden is the best place to stay to get the much needed break.

@salonga yup, but when I get tired of browsing, I also go out and breathe in some fresh air. I try to transplant my old plants.

Are those veggies and fruits from you garden ? Did you plant all of them ? Wow ! My parents house has a big lawn in front . It used to have a mango tree and makopa and orchids and flowers . At the back are more fruit bearing trees and veggies . That's why i miss it always since in my parents -in-law's house has a very small front , back and sides . It's mostly all house .

Honestly I love gardening the most, I paint, craft and write poetry too but somehow gardening takes all my time these days. I moved to a individual house from an apartment so that I could expand my garden a little more,

Gardening is one of mine. As you probably know, I do it with the kids I work with. Right now, we're concentrating on snow peas, but we've also planted some corn, green beans, and sunflowers.

Are those photos from your garden? Just luscious and beautiful! I used to garden, but too many animals come out of the woods to eat everything. I just have some herbs and tomato plants on my deck and window garden. Otherwise, my hobby is shopping. Lol!

Yes! Animals are great enemies of gardening. I'm glad my backyard is well secured. They can't ever invade my plants.

I wish, I had a yard big enough for a garden. When I was younger my parents always a had a garden. My hobby is writing. I know, that may sound funny because I do write for a living as well. I have gotten into taking picture since, I have been here and have seen all the lovely pictures that people share.

Writing is certainly a hobby that gives earnings as well just as gardening gives me fruits that I can enjoy eating and sell the rest for some money.

Gardening is not an easy job, there are a lot of factors to consider, the weather, the soil condition, the watering system, the right fertilizer, and a lot more.

I like to have a small farm but I do not know where to put since our land is located at Manila. I love the idea of having our own plants to provide our own food.

You can always buy a farm in the countryside just as some of my friends who live in the city. There are lots of affordable lots for farming in Cavite i think.
