The LGBT, etc. Vs Manny Pacquiao!

A few seconds' statement on our local tv about same-sex marriage was all it took for our Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao to sort of now receiving left & right blows! Manny said, "It's just common sense. Do you see any animal of the same sex mating? Animals are better off, they can distinguish between male and female. Now, if men are mating with men and women with women, then they are worse than animals." That, caused a lot of remarks from many of our known personalities in the local showbiz. We've read anger & disappointments from Boy Abunda, Vice Ganda & Aiza Seguerra, to name a few. Also from our famous Ms. Saigon, Ms. Lea Salonga. The bottomline is: they believe Manny Pacquiao has no right to talk that way about those who are for & are in the same-sex marriage. As if those were not enough. Manny Pacquiao was also called to postpone his April 9 fight with Bradley or face disqualificafion from his 2016 senatorial candidacy. Next was a news that Nike, Inc., the world's largest sportswear maker said it ended its contract with Manny Pacquiao after his "abhorrent" remarks. That meant losing a sizable chunk from Manny Pacquiao's endorsement income! In case he will not be disqualified from running in the 2016 elections, is there still a chance that people will still vote for him? What else are to come next for Manny Pacquiao? P. S. BTW, this is my comeback post, my dear friends. My apologies for the long absence. Just been to the Doc. But, just had the needed bloodtest. It's results will be out on Monday. The body scan, if still needed, will follow. I miss you!

Welcome back, Ma'am! I just hope everything will be fixed soon. He has the right to say his opinion but I think there was a wrong choice of words.

Hi, my dear Arbie! Thank you for welcoming me back, my dear! Re, Pacquiao's statement. Know what? I've come across an article that says that what appeared in the papers are not the only words he said. Accordingly, his "statement" was cut. Gosh!

@brokenbee Yes, my dear. And I feel sad for Manny. It seemed he will find it difficult to rise from this.

@KnehKnah yes, it was cut. But I have also read his full statement and I think it'd still boil down to the same thing. But that is his opinion, I will respect that.

Mr Pacquiao is obviously not a biologist or zoologist. There are many different animal species which display homosexual behaviour. He should stick to boxing!!!

Hi, welcome back, i hope your blood test will be okay. I respect Manny's position. It is biblical so I don't care about whether there were negative reactions. I am voting Manny all the more.

@KnehKnah I am not affected by their negative comment. There are many magnanakaw in the government but Manny is not so why can't he be fit when he is obviously not corrupt and has good moral values as well.

Thank you, my dear! I've read a lot of nega remarks that Manny doesn't deserve to serve our country, etc. Well, that remains to be seen.

the way he said it is what made it controversial. plus, our local media is pro LP while manny supports binay's group so they'll do anything to malice his statement. but manny did not get affected.

@KnehKnah they should have interviewed him to clarify his words, that could have ended well.

@Letranknight2015 There were interviews, but Manny did not mention about the cut video. I don't even know why he allowed this to reach an uproar with him vs the LGBT.

Yes, my dear! And... that video was cut, showing only that which made Manny sound bad. But, it seems it's quiet now. I wonder what happened to the wrath of some famous LGBT personalities?

Thank you, my dear Reine. I also respect Manny Pacquiao's opinion, but I think we are outnumbered by so many who consider what he said as uncalled for. Tsk!
