Got operated for gall stones. It was an accidental discovery, as one day I had pain in my back and I went to my doctor. She told me to get a USG W/A (whole abdomen) done. That's when they found out multiple calculi in my gall bladder. I am scared of needle and here I was told to get operated. And that too as soon as possible because the largest one was 30 mm big. Well....what has to be done, has to be done. So next day I got admitted and operated after a series of blood work. It has been 20 days now, but I still feel an emptiness inside. I am advised not to pick up any thing heavy. My two year old daughter maintain one arm distance from me because she was told that mamma won't be able to pick you up or hold you in her arms. I can see it in her eyes, how much she want to hug me, sleep next to me or take comfort in my arms when she is hurt but she resists. She looks at me and keeps saying " mumma injection....mamma pain". It is true that God Almighty take care of us and our loved ones.....otherwise how can a two year old be so sensitive and understanding. Now I just want to get better as soon as possible. Can anybody please tell me when can I start exercising? And How long will it take me to heal completely.

I had my gall stones removed by laparascopy a few years ago and there was almost no pain, I certainly hope that you feel better soon.

I can't help you I'm afraid. Surely you could cuddle your daughter in bed. It would be best to ask your doctor as to how long before you can start returning to normal activities.

You can consult your doctor for this answer, as at this stage you should better listen to your concerned doctor and not others. You be better soon.
