Hello everyone! It has been quite some time since I have been on MyLot, but hopefully I get right back into the swing of things and can spend more time here, if things work out that way.
Anyways, just on Monday, I came back from a one week trip to Curacao (an island in the Caribbean, near Aruba, very close to Venezuela/South America), though our plane was delayed a full day, so we actually got to stay an extra day down there, so that was almost a blessing in disguise, even though I was quite ready to come home.
The island itself was amazing for so many things: Weather wise, beaches, food, culture, etc. I was there with my parents and my brother. The weather there was very nice - it was typically 30 celsius every day, or 86 fahrenheit, with a nice breeze, though sometimes it was a bit too windy, I will admit. They have some very nice beaches, all over the island. The food there is amazing, an abundance of fresh seafood, as one would imagine. I believe it is a Dutch island, and over in Curacao, they speak quite a few languages - English, Dutch, Spanish, and another language I cannot quite remember.
Some of the highlights of my trip to Curacao were: Going on a 3 hour long ATV tour of the east part of the island, with different stops along the way, snorkelling on different beaches (saw a giant lobster at one point), taking a tour of the Curacao Liqueur factory, and driving through Christoffel National Park.

Yes, I did have a wonderful time for sure! You have to go to Curacao one day, I swear by it that it is amazing, I have been to quite a few places, but it is one of my favourite, if not maybe my favourite place I have been so far! Where in the Caribbean have you been to before? :)
