Same sex marriage?

It is quite a big issue in our country today... I'm not quite sure where i stand, since i am a Catholic, it is against our religion, since man is made for woman... but i have some friends who are LGBT and some are really close to me too. I think everyone deserves happiness - I have a feeling i already made a similar discussion about this.. but, oh well Since a senator made a comment that same-sex marriage is an act that makes people worse than animals or something, this thought crossed my mind again. what's your pinion on this, i hear some states/countries already have same-sex marriage.

First off I don't think it was a Senator who said that. I think everyone has a right to happiness and if it is two men or two women together than so be it. As to being Catholic they should say nothing with the priests who have been molesters and just now is anything being done about it. I am an ex-Catholic and glad i am out of that religion.

The one who said that is running for senator though.

@Marcyaz If he got endorsement from the 3 largest Christian sects in the Phillippines he might. I am embarassed by the fact that this is the only country on earth with no divorce because the Churches here are powerful.,

I think that some people are afraid of such things and become mean and negative about it because they don't understand it. I am a heterosexual woman and cannot understand for the life of me how two women or two men can be together sexually and in love. It is totally beyond me But, I also think that they have the right to find love and as long as they do not encroach upon my right as a heterosexual then I say 'have it at'! Live and let live. Some of the nicest and most sensitive people I have ever known were gay/lesbian.

Hello Lady. It is none of my business who marries who. If they are not living with me, it does not bother me..
