The last two days, I have posted photos of some of the beach art that was created by artist Larry Martin.
Tonight I am posting a photo of him carefully stacking his rocks.
He is placing a rock shaped like the letter "L" on another rock. He said his plan was to write out the word love and then photograph the rocks with the ocean behind them.
He is so creative!

Yes, and very lucky to have so many loose rocks from which to choose. This area reminds me of Camps Bay just outside of Cape Town.

He was working just south of Main Beach in Laguna Beach ... and there are many rocks in that area.

@ElizabethWallace - I agree that having a few big rocks on the beach adds to its beauty.

@DeborahDiane I think having a few big rocks on the beach adds to the beauty, as long as there is sand to walk on.

I did not see him using anything other than just balancing the rocks. Isn't that amazing??

That beach artist did not use any glue or fixative, as far as I could tell. I watched him for several minutes and was amazed by his creativity!

You are right. He has to be incredibly patient to make these sculptures!

I only took a picture of the first letter. I'm afraid I would have had to spend a long time there to see the finished project.

This is wonderful. I love the whole idea. Spelling out a word I never thought of.

If you look at today's picture, you can see the letter "L" appearing to just hang there. Incredible!

He did seem to enjoy what he was doing. He seems to love talking about it when my friend and I stopped to chat with him during our walk!

I have tried to pile rocks, too. The is why I appreciate what he is doing so much!
