Last evening, as soon as I came back from my daughter´s house, I took some light snacks to bed and started zapping in Netflix. I came across Ms. Fisher´s Murder Mysteries. I had seen some of the episodes and I loved them, but I never was near the TV when the serial was on. Now I found them on Netflix and I am watching them one by one. The plot reminded me a lot the Agatha Christie´s books I read a long time ago. But the best part of it are the dresses (a after WW1!), the cars I always wanted to have, the problems of the begining of the 20th century. Do check on them. You will have your fun in every little detail.

They are at Netflix now, so I suppose that everyone can watch them.

@marguicha We do not have Netflix, it is expensive and not interesting here. We can only have French and German as languages, but I know that all the episodes are on YouTube.

I have watched the entire season two of Miss Fisher's Mysteries. I read some Phryne Fisher books by Kerry Greenwood.

@marguicha The books are as risque as the TV show. Pretty much the same actually.

I have seen that on Netflix but have not watched it yet. Sounds good from what you have described. I do like Agatha Christie's books and like you I had read them a good long while ago. Thanks for letting us know about this on Netflix.

It is much the better as the background is at the word at the post WWI.

@Marcyaz Each episode is not very long so you can watch one while you rest a while.

haha, when others watch murder shows, they think about the clues, but you pay attention to the dresses and cars! You must have solved the murders right from the start.

Everything adds to the pleasure. Downton Abbey would not be the same if the dresses and costumes were not as they were.

Give it a try, if you like old fashioned well done detective stories.

I love those kinds of stories for their historic value. Thanks I'll look into them.

I like the dresses and the settings as much as the actual detective story.
