Who would you save between your mother or child?

Assume you are coming back home from work and find your house is burning. After getting the information from neighbors that your biological mother and daughter/son are inside the burning house, you get the chance to enter into the burning house quickly, you find them both close to each other looking at you needing for your help. You are capable of saving a single person for the time being, who would you choose among the two? why?.

My child, and that is what my mother would want me to do as well. In life our most important job is that of a parent, we must always be there and protect our offspring anyway we can. That is a very sad scenario you have giving us but my child will always come first.

I would save my child first because she would be all i have when my mother would be gone. But i will try to save my mother too as well.

My son, no question. I love my mother, but she has lived a pretty good life and would want me to save my child so that he can live a long fulfilling life.
