Had My Undertime Yesterday

Yesterday , I filed for an undertime at 3:00 p.m. and went home . That’s because I left my husband alone at our house since he has cough and colds and not feeling well . And as a wife , I felt it was my responsibility to at least take care of him . I know , he is already big enough to take care of him , but then I have to do my share of at least doing some caring for him . So I went home , served him a snack of instant chicken noodles since I read that it is good for colds. Instant you may wonder , because I have no time anymore. But I cooked supper for the two of us and washed the dishes . I am happy that at least I have done my part of being a loving wife .

that is so nice of you to take good care of your hubby, my lady. And I also recall what my late mother would offer us her children every time we have cough and colds... you guess it right. It is chicken noodle soup (Royco for that matter), Royal Tru-Orange, one hard-boiled egg, and skyflakes. I don't know, but with a mother's (and wife's) TLC, we always get well, right?

Yes , it's the tender loving care , that really helps a lot in recovering fast from any illness we have . I remember indeed , it was Royco before . I think there's none of that already .

@SIMPLYD modestly aside, I am like you and also not just to my husband but to my son. I hardly sleep when anyone of them is sick. I would do all kinds of homemade natural cure to make them well and would monitor them 24 hours.

@salonga I think as mothers and wives it is imperative that we should be like that . Although , sometimes my being tired already from work won't permit me to take care of them 24 hours . So, i just absent myself if i see that they are in dire need of my care .

How do the company handle the "undertime"? Do you have to pay back the hours or do they deduct the salary for the hours not worked?

For us officers , when we render an overtime , it is not paid but we offset it for another day . On this particular case , i filed it to be deducted to my set of vacation leaves .

That is true . Though , as wives we should also see to it that we also care for our husbands , specially when they are sick . And it should be the same with them to us . He is better already and was able to report to work , after lunch .

How lucky is your husband! My wife never came, come, will come home when I got sick, get sick, and will get sick! I guess she thinks I don't need her when I am sick. That is why I am thinking of . . . nah, forget it!

Maybe because you always make her feel that you can take care of yourself. So , don't be envious of what i did. But anyway, you can always tell her that she should at least be with you when you are sick and vicw versa.
