Asked if levan--my brother's son would love to have some local sausage that we call "longganisa".
He said yes and his older sister too.
Then Jia--the middle child of my brother, told them. Say thank you.
Sometimes i offer foods to my brother's kids. With the youngest who has been a meat lover. That when he can smell what i am cooking, he'll come over.
Sharing them what i cook feels great. And i never get tired of doing it, especially when you can hear them saying "thank you" after.
Isn't very nice to hear someone else's gratefulness?
*P.S. We practice the young ones how to be grateful.

"Thank you" and "if you please" are usually the first 2 phrases that we should teach our kids while they are still young.

@Lucky15 yes that is so bad. My ears could figuratively shake if I hear a youngster curse. Last Monday, a level 2 student of mine accidentally tipped her bottle of Coke and the contents poured down on her black pants. We were seated in one table having our lunch. What surprised me was the word that came out of her mouth..."SH _ T" I had to call her attention and told her, "Why not SHOOT and not SH _ T? She apologized

Thank you is the best thing to say often and mean it. My husband brings me my coffee in the morning and I say thank you. What you teach the children, will stay with them forever. Good job and yes hearing Thank you is a happy thing.

We should always practice to be grateful, adults nowadays even need more practice of that. I am too guilty of not saying thank you sometimes when someone helped me, but I make sure to help them back if I remembered that.
