Having An Annoying Boss At Work Makes Me Feel Like I am Back At School

I have a manager at work that started off nice and pleasant enough, but over time I can see that he is becoming to act like a teacher. No other managers are as demanding as him and as silly with his restraints.
For example at work if I finish at 4.30pm my manager says I have to stay on if there are clients on the phone even at the end of my shift! Some other manager hold the same view, but if I finish at 4.30pm I am hate having to take another call at 4.30pm or a minute before my end of shift.
Frustrates me!!

I was taught in old school companies. It was only right back then to continue working if we had calls coming in. It was an unspoken and unwritten rule. We worked as a team and helped each other out in this way. Now days people don't think or act in such a way.

Yes who wants to have a boss like that?
I actually never had any teacher act like some of the bosses I had.

I don't think I would like your manager either. Thankfully I work for myself and my boss (me) is delightful to work for.

Well if the call is still on your shift then you got no choice but to take it even if its almost at the end your shift but if it exceeds, its a different issue, request or quiery if they want you to go overtime. Bosses are sometimes annoying yet if his instruction doesnt overlap your job discription then its fine. But if is against the company policy then do what you must do. Theres a saying that says WAIT UNTIL YOU BECOME. :)

Many jobs go easier and smoother without managers present. *be well*
