Cat lovers are independent while dog lovers require constant attention.

@lovebeingmummy Are cats as understanding as dogs?
Are pet cats really sensitive and react emotionally with their owners?
Is cat really a selfish pet as it a popular notion?

@JohnRoberts has a good point @avi256 . I have 12 indoor and 2 outdoor cats and 3 donkeys, so not only am I very independent but I'm also apparently stubborn as a mule. LOL

@MALUSE Not exactly but the person who took over the animal shelter that I had at my place gets help from Walmart (torn bags of food), so every other month, she brings me bags of cat food. With Spring coming, the donkeys will be able to graze. Plus, that's why I'm a svelte 115 pounds at 5'8". The critters eat better than I do.

Have no idea about it... Would love to have a cat myself but I fear it wouldn't work in our households...

@avi256 Could it be the superstition related to black cat and all... It could be cats are detested here...

Yep its not that easy to keep dogs as pets than cats in India.
Still not sure why...If ask a group of 100 people, 80 of them would prefer keeping dog to cat.
People have certain reservations accepting cat as a pet and I am still searching for the reason.

@Daljinder Yes, to a large extent, that may be a reason and people just do not want to take chances.

I think cats and dogs can be different. Cats don't do the same as a dog does when you come home. A dog will come to greet you a cat waits for you to come home and greet them lol. A cat will hear the door and not care a dog will bark its head off.

@OKennedy Cats have a strange way to demand attention unlike dogs who are very vocal or expressive about their feelings to their owners. Cats are independent but reserved too. They may give you signs about their feelings but may never reveal it completely and thats what adds to their mysterious nature.

I am a cat lover for sure! I have had so many cats growing up! My Mother siad when I was young every cat, dog or whatever animal I would find I would always asked her Can I keep it? L.O.L. But mostly it was always a cat! I have 2 now. She told me to check out a site called Cat Centric but I have not done so yet been too busy lately.

@avi256 Okay I will try sometime next week as I have company this week. My Mother is here helping me and I don't really have much time to be on computer because we have a lot to do. But I will get back with you soon and show my cats. Hope you have a great day. Happy Friday.
