I'm sitting here watching the Local News here in my hometown. I always watch the local news at this time of the evening. If I'm home, and not asleep, or working. LOL So, there's some interesting things on the news tonight about the weather. We're suppose to be getting some snow tomorrow. IDK how much though, I think about 2in again. Lord have mercy. I'm tired of the snow. But, there's nothing that I can do about it. I wish that springtime would hurry up and come on! LOL So, going back to my question on this discussion, Do you watch the local news regularly like I do? Or do you watch it ocassionally?

@aju007 Going good here. Just been working a couple days this week. Nothing major though. Had a long night last night though. Had to help clean the store up because they were getting two top people of the Sonic Drive-In business to come today to check on the cleanliness of our store. So, I went in about 5pm yesterday, and I didn't get off until close to 1am in the morning! LOL I was wore to a frazzle for sure! LOL Came home, and got on here and stayed on until about 3am. Than went to bed. Glad that you got some free time now. Hope that you'll be able to spend some time on here more now. Miss seeing your posts on Mylot!

Hey @aju007! How in the world have you been doing? Haven't seen you in a few days. and yes, it is a good thing to know what's happening around us. As I was saying earlier, that I like to find interesting articles around my region and see what's happening around me. It's just the fact that we should know what's going on around us. Just to be knowing! LOL Thanks for responding, and hope that you're doing great over there in India!!!

I watch it in the morning too. Like the "Today" show. I usually watch that in the morning. I think it comes on at 7am every weekday? Not sure. But, seems right. as far as the snow goes, we're due to get some by tonight, and maybe into tomorrow morning. I've got to go to class in the morning. I don't mind driving in the snow, as long as it doesn't stick to the roads, and it be slick. LOL But, if so, than, I'll have to stay home. I don't think that it'll be that bad tomorrow like we've had in the past few weeks. Just the fact to pray that it won't be. LOL

@danny1971 We have to local news before the today show comes on. I take my roommate to work at 5:30 in the morning then I will come home and watch the news until I fall asleep again. Then I wake up to the today's show and then Kelly and Michael. lol. Sending positive thoughts that the roads aren't bad. Would hate for you to have to miss class tomorrow.

@danny1971 Yeah the temps might have dropped by now. I am not even going to attempt to go outside and see what it is like out there. My dog has done her business and I am in for the night. I smoke in my living room so I am fine. lol

I do not watch local news because it is usually politically biased one side or the other. I get weather and sports news online.

Yeah, I get weather online also. Sometimes I go to my local TV station to get the latest weather updates, and I also get text info from that channel. You can get text from your local TV station. You just have to go to their website, and look for the email/text link to sign up.

Yes, I agree with you @abrielle28 I think it is interesting to know what's going on around my area as well as around the world. I posted a discussion here last night of a truck hitting Walmart store in my hometown. It hit two children and the children are fine though. Even though they had to go to the local hospital. But, it was interesting to know what happened to them.

@abrielle28 yeah, me too. But, the driver should have paid more attention than that. They said on the news tonight, that he pressed the gas petal down instead of the break petal. Which, is what caused him to hit the Walmart store. :(

I use to watch local news every time that I am at my parent's house. But since I moved out from them and well, the house that I am in doesn't have a television, I end up reading news from the internet. And surprisingly, internet news is much faster than the news from the television. But then, the reason I watch the news is to get updated on what is happening in the outside world since I have to study for a lot of time.

I understand that you don't have tv now in the home where you live at now, and have to use the internet for news purposes. Thats the way that i had to do too before I got the cable. Turned on. So i know how ya feel there.

@danny1971 I know right. It's basically hard and easy at the same time. hard because you have to make time for reading and easy because it's readily accessible.

Yes i like to watch the local news now and then....... The National Televisions only show news which are related to either celebrities, national issues or the New of the Metros. But I live in a small city and only way of keeping you up to date regarding the issues and information are the local new or the News paper.............................
25 Feb 16
Depends, more and more get their news off of the internet as it's faster and more convenient

I make the news so why see it on tv
