In our country here in Philippines, we have the 3rd most poisonous snake in the world, the Philippines cobra. They say that it only takes 30 minutes after bitten by the snake, you'll die.
Since this can be very dangerous, what can we do to prevent being bitten by this snake and what are best first aid remedies to control the spread of venom after being bitten?

This is real interesting to know. My first eco-thriller is about snake bite prevention and anti-venom. I know there's a new show on Discovery Channel called Venom Hunters, starting next week. There was a show with Donald Schultze on Animal Planet, a decade ago, that dealt with snakes, too.

@enlightenedpsych2 Thanks Erica. It all started with a dream and a WD magazine article about the trend of eco-thrillers coming back, 8 years ago.

Thanks for the info. Although my worst fear is snakes, I'm kinda interested about how how lethal snakes are. We have an urban legend here about the "makapuno snake" in which they say that this snake sounded like chicken and it has a sting on its tail.

@nerdnitesh yah but not all of them, some snakes are territorial. One example is the black mamba
