Restless night, crazy morning

So I tossed and turned all night. I kept waking up feeling off. I don’t remember my dreams, so it was probably that and general life stress right now. It was a bit freaky to wake up with a racing heart and not have any known reason why. Then there was the whole, look at my cell and realize I overslept, as I didn’t set any alarm for work somehow. Yes I made it on time, but it was a near thing. I also got to work with my shoes matching, socks too! That is a feat on a day where I have less than 15 minutes to be up and out the door. I think I may have tripped over everything in the house twice, but whatever I made it. Tonight I think I shall burn some temple incense or sage before bed, see if I can sleep untroubled through the night. What tricks to you have to you have to sleep untroubled through the night?

I don't even know why I was having a bad night. I would wake up with my heart racing, but not be afraid of anything or even feel any panic. I know that life right now is very stressing, and my brain is probably dealing with that it was very weird to feel my heart racing like that but feel perfectly calm

Well right now I have a 3 week old so tricks don't really matter-I am not sleeping at night! Lol. I hope you can de-stress yourself enough to get some sleep tonight though.

@Jessicalynnt ...I have read that you shouldn't take more than two of the 5 mg. tablets.

@Jessicalynnt Yes, they are, but I have never been a good sleeper, a little noise is enough to wake me up.

Take some steps to prevent it! Drink some tea. Put on a fresh pillowcase. Take a warm bath / get anything to not suffer!

@Jessicalynnt Oh i think my mind is totally running a muck with me tonight, and tomorrow we are leaving for a week=end away, so i should get some rest. I had cinnamon tea earlier, now I am having some warm milk. I shall see how long it takes for me to relax my mind = i wrote a post on it, so maybe releasing it will be good.

Whatever you do, don't watch any horror, chillers, or thrillers. You'll never get to sleep. I don't really have any tricks, though I've tried working on a book - in my head - in order to try and fall asleep. There's a drawback on that though - if what I'm working on turns out really good and feasible, I need to get up and go to the computer, so that means I won't be going to bed anytime soon.

Lavender oil is helpful. Good snack. Moisture in the air.It still does not always work right, though.

Moisture in the air in Texas made me laugh, but in the winter you just may have a point. I really do need to look getting some lavender oil.

I don't have any tricks. My mum used to recite poetry to help her get to sleep. Maybe I need to learn some poems.

I normally don't have any trouble sleeping, usually read for awhile before I go to sleep and that makes me tired.

The room temperature plays a big role in my sleep. I don't sleep well if the room is too sultry. So I just make sure my room is at the right temperature.
