No One Who Cares

Alone when there's no one who cares Just sit alone with my eyes full of tears forgetting everything that's going through my mind that there's no one who cares and there's no one I can find Let me leave and go on home Let me live my life alone There's no one out there for me and it's so clear for me to see that there's no one no one who cares if I live or if I die Oh, God, please tell me why Why is there no one no one who cares Copyright © 2009 Steven Cetta All Rights Reserved Image Credit : CoolText.com inertia4, No, One, Cares, inertia4poetry

Nice poem! Yes, sometimes it seems that no one cares and then we get a surprise by someone showing us some care and love. That's my experience!

Thank you. I appreciate it. Don't get the wrong idea about this poem though. It is not new and not about me. I get inspired to write mostly from listening to music.

@inertia4 I guess that is a good thing. I think it is interesting to look back to see where we were at particular times in our lives.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I think I told you I wrote this a long time ago. So, nothing in it means anything now.

@mommaj Right. I was young and stupid back then. Aren't all teenagers like that? I mean, we thought we knew it all. But we learn fast enough that we don't.

We are not alone. In more ways than we think. But sometimes we do feel alone. I guess that is what separates us from other species.

This is an old poem written many years ago. I think it was actually the late 70's. I did tweak it some before I actually posted it up. I am glad you enjoyed it.

We are taught that caring is weakness. That is what it sounds like these days anyway.Another well done poem my friend.

Thank you. Yes, we are taught that caring is weakness. Where that came from I don't know. But caring too much could get us in trouble.

I imagine he/she is a lonely old person who feels helpless and world-weary.

This is an old poem. From the late 70's actually. I was young and wanted to write lyrics back then. So I turned it into a poem.

This is heartbreaking, well done. A good poem should elicit emotion and this one certainly does.

Thank you. I always try to evoke emotion. And this one is an old one. to written now. It had to be written back in the 80's if I remember correctly. Maybe even the 70's now that I think about it.

This is such a sad and even depressing poem. It reminds me of one I penned many, many years ago during a low point in my life. What I like best about the poem is how it reminds me I'm not alone anymore and haven't been since I found K.

That's when i wrote this. A long time ago. I was confused I guess with my feelings. So this came out as a result. I am not alone now and I am happy now. How life changes.

loneliness often creates a box, a box that makes it harder and harder to reach out, and connect, and vanquish the lonely. It doesn't want to be vanquish, it wants to win

That box was broken by me a long time ago. Although I did feel trapped when I was married. That was another horror in my life. Glad that's over now. But I am with the woman I was supposed to be with now. That's all that matters.

Lonely for when no one cares Sitting in dark corners confined by your fears Pray, do tell me my friend Is there someone you care? Is there no one you hold dear? No one who shares the same fears? You may live alone and consider it victory Or put someone out of the same misery Still can't you understand this life clearly? Never abandon whom you hold dearly. What you seek is what you would find Its all a play of the mind Till you are here, do something kind Let's all live today For we die some other time.
