Work is hurting my MyLot earnings

This morning, I was awakened at 7 AM by a phone call from my friend who is Director of a Preschool in Berkeley CA. One of her teachers was out, and she needed me to substitute teach for five hours. Thursday morning is usually my morning to relax, grade some papers, and do a little extra MyLotting. But the kids at my friend's preschool are adorable, so of course I said yes. I got hundreds of hugs, read several books, taught some mandolin, planted some corn and green bean seeds, and earned something like $85. But I wasn't able to do anything on MyLot. I noticed when I got home that I was having a rough day in terms of MyLot earnings. This afternoon, I had a 13-year-old kid client. We threw a football around, played in a park, taught a Russian/Israeli kid how to throw a football, sang along with Justin Bieber and rap music on my truck radio, and petted someone's pet bunny. So now I'm finally able to get back to MyLotting, sipping some wine, and chilling. Does the real world ever get in the way of your MyLotting? I'll attach a picture of our Berkeley snow peas from last year. They're looking about the same right now, but I didn't have time to take my camera out at the preschool. Yep, I'm pooped.

Your $85.00 will buy you more groceries than the few pennies that you would make here.

Very true! That's what makes it funny that I fret abut the 20 cents I might have lost.

Yup life does get in the way sometimes. It seems like I am always so busy. The only time I can shut out the world is late at night and I end up staying up half the night on myLot. hehe. But I enjoy it. Grabbing my laptop and laying in bed with the TV on and myLoting all night long. Sounds like you had an awesome day in my book.

It was a really nice day. I have one progress note to do, then I'll settle in and listen to or play music. Tomorrow I'll volunteer at the Preschool (unless she needs me to substitute) and turn in some progress notes at my "main" job. I have all weekend to grade my Wednesday in-class assignments from the College.

I was envious of those peas until I learned that they were last year's. Yes, the real world takes me away from myLot and I feel disappointed about it.

This year's snow peas look about the same. We've had lots of rain. I'll try to remember to bring my camera tomorrow when I visit the preschool.

They always make me smile. Right now, a lot of the older ones are being "teachers" and walking around with note pads writing down "the cute things adults say."

Yes, as I have mentioned before on here through discussions, That I have class to go to, and than have to work. So, yes, the worldly act does affect my Mylotting around on here. I also have a wife that I have to pay attention to as well. She's been fussing that I spend too much time on Mylot. But, I said that if I'm gonna earn any money on here, than, I've got to stay on here more than normal Facebooking. She didn't say anything after that. LOL I guess she knew that I was right. LOL So, it does sound like you do have a busy life before Mylot comes in. I pray that you will be able to slow down some and experience the love here at Mylot. Best wishes to ya friend!!!

@TheHorse lol I don't think anyone really counts we just read enjoy comment and repeat the cycle. The only ones I notice are the members who never respond at all which is strangely rude!! and unproductive.

Always. :( I shuttle between my work and myLot. It is tougher now because if I close the window, myLot logs off. Good in terms of security bad in terms of fun. lol. Kids are always fun...now they come when dad is not around. :) That way I can get down to their level of childishness...even sit on floor and paint it more than the paper..lol. Not rich. :) Small flat...so no peas. lol. But yours does look good. :) Will be busy this weekend...it has already become way too hot almost like mid summer here. I can barely manage one work a day outside as it is exhausting in this heat.

It must have been 70 degrees in Berkeley today. Absolutely perfect. I went outside and read three or four books to six 2 1/2- to 4-year-olds snuggled around me, and then we planted some corn and green bean seeds. Their love of life rubs off on me.

Almost all the time. But for me it's quite the opposite the past days -- MyLot is hurting my sideline job's earnings. Like, you know, right now, I should be starting that boring 7-page paper that was due last month but guess what? I'm still enjoying myself here. Funny thing is, I actually earn real income there and if exert extra effort I can actually earn more. Oh well, sometimes things we do really defy logic.

@yalul070 Can you write two pages of the "boring" stuff and then reward yourself by coming back here for a visit? Do that 3 1/2 times and you'll be done.

pony is a psychologist (mainly children)/teacher/mountain climber/musician/crafter/repairman/child at heart/friend/all-around good guy.... even if he does play a pretty decent horse on myLot! You really should have seen the YouTube video I posted of him on one thread where he was sleeping, snoring and ... uhm... something else, too, Adam.... LMFAO!

@trivia79 To the very best of my knowledge, I am telling you the truth, Adam. If I have something wrong, it is my mistake and not because I am deliberately lying to you. Those are all things I have found out about pony since I started talking to him here on myLot. Wait, I might have one wrong. I sometimes mix up the two professions: psychologist and psychiatrist. Which one is correct, @TheHorse ?

So do you prefer myLotting than working outside? I mean I don't really know if myLot is categorized as a "real job" but if you happen to earn as much as doing an exhausting work then it's better.
